Theme: New Year, New Writing
I do love a new writing workshop – and this literally WAS a “new writing” workshop!
Despite the grey January weather, six enthusiastic writers (plus one busy, happy toddler!) came along on Saturday 19th January 2019 to Lockerbie Library/DG Customer Services Lockerbie – ready for tea, coffee, biscuits, and to write!

Over the course of two hours, the participants made their way through three writing games and exercises. Everyone left with some story beginnings and ideas, and the feedback was fantastic – an enjoyable morning all round!
This was the first of a series of new writing workshops.
New Writing Workshops are aimed at beginners and nervous adult writers. Through a series of games and straightforward writing prompts, participants are encouraged to try out a mixture of writing styles in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Please keep an eye on the website for future dates – or get in touch to arrange a bespoke session for your workshop, community group, party … The possibilities are endless and everything can be shaped to your requirements.
