Wee Writers and Children’s Writing Workshops

UPDATE, August 2021: Due to changing COVID-19 restrictions, some workshops are now able to go ahead. Please get in touch with any enquiries.

Wee Writers are fun and creative sessions for young writers!

Sessions for children aged 5+ years are especially popular, and have previously run at venues including the Devil’s Porridge Museum (see newspaper article, below), Nest Nurturing Futures CIC, Shambellie House, Castle Loch at Lochmaben, and Dino Park at Hetland Garden Centre. These can be themed to suit just about any needs, and are suitable for children with varying abilities – and enthusiasm levels, too!

Toddler sessions are also fantastic fun! These have run before at venues including the National Centre for Children’s Literature and Storytelling (Moat Brae – Peter Pan House). No need to be able to read or write – just come along and join in with the activities, games and stories, which can be themed to anything including the season, venue, a particular book.

We currently have no scheduled workshop dates, but please follow this site or our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/weewriters) for updates – as well as activities which you can do at home.
