UPDATE, AUGUST 2021: Shambellie House Trust recently announced that they are undertaking restoration works on the property, and hope to resume with a full selection of courses in 2022. We hope to be able to bring you details of more writing workshops at Shambellie House in the near future!
Previous writing workshops at Shambellie House have always been enjoyable and, often, fully booked!
The historic property and peaceful grounds make the ideal setting for an inspirational day of writing. In the past, these have been co-run between Kerrie McKinnel and fellow writer and tutor, Steph Newham. The friendly and supportive pair are always on hand with advice and ideas to get the stories and poetry flowing.
It is a running joke that writing workshops at Shambellie House always seem to turn a little dark! The workshops never fail to produce a handful of mysterious murder stories or creepy ghostly tales. Perhaps it’s something about the aging surroundings, dark hallways and secretive rooms …
