Kerrie McKinnel is a self-employed writer, Events Manager for Lockerbie Writers group, and a graduate of the University of Glasgow’s MLitt Creative Writing. She has organised and run a number of writing workshops and events. Details of some of these are available on this website, and this is often where prospective clients begin when they are planning their own event and looking for inspiration.

Workshops and events can be tailored to the needs of a specific group, organisation or event, including:

• Adult writing workshops for all ages and abilities, including sessions for beginners and nervous writers
• Themed workshops (e.g. a literary character like Peter Pan, a certain period in history like WW1 or WW2, writing elements such as characters or sense of place, or seasonal topics/national days such as Women’s History Month, Mother’s Day or Christmas.)
• Team-building sessions
• Children’s workshops, pre-school or school sessions (This can be tailored to work alongside your current curriculum and teaching topic.)
• Baby and toddler groups
