Day 14
Number of words: 14,210
Number of chocolate bars consumed: 1 (Dairy Milk Caramel)
I’m at the end of my first fortnight of writing, and so far my Three Month Novel goal is looking achievable. I have managed to stick to an average of 1,000 words per day. Some days this is easier than others and I find myself writing a little (or a lot) over my target. Other days, I have things to do which take me out of the house, or my toddler refuses to nap or to stop climbing on the laptop and pressing on the ‘off’ button, and writing becomes more challenging – on these days, I have written slightly less than my daily goal, but I have always tried to keep my average the same. I am therefore very happy to see that, at the end of 14 days writing, I have produced just over 14,000 words! I am sure that I will need to do an extensive edit of much of this, but I am enjoying the process so far and looking forward to sharing a little more about the story and characters with you as it progresses – as I realise I haven’t done much (or any) of this yet.
More updates to come! Keep writing …
Well done Kerrie, it must be difficult to keep to your target with Ronan around!

Thank you Carol – yes, he does like to “help” by bashing the laptop keys, but usually he takes a 1-2 hour nap in the afternoon which gives me time to catch up on things!
