Today is my final day of peaceful writing before my new semester at university begins in earnest!
I’m still not at the end of my novel, but it’s taking shape. I have a Prologue and have completed Part One (at least, it’s done for now – it will no doubt alter substantially on the first edit!). Part Two is nearing completion, and then I’m confident that Part Three will be a case of pulling together the loose ends.
Here’s the summary so far!
Day 150
Numbers of words: 66,859.
Number of pages: 232.
Number of cups of tea consumed whilst staring at the computer screen and wishing the words would come: 300+.
Stick with me. The end is in sight!
Let me know if you’re working on a novel too! I’d love to hear how you’re getting on.
Good luck Kerrie! You’ll get there in the end, although concluding a novel isn’t necessarily as easy as it may seem. I hope you have an enjoyable and successful second year of your Creative Writing MLitt too! 🙂

Thanks Kendra – yes, I hadn’t appreciated QUITE how much planning etc is involved in writing/concluding a novel … until now!!! 🙂
